Abstract

The main goal of this research project is to map the shifts and reconfigurations within the gender area in the context of the war of Russia against Ukraine. Specific research questions to be addressed include: What is the impact of the war on patriarchal gendering in the public discourse in Ukraine? What is the impact of forced migration on perceiving gender identities and roles by refugees from Ukraine to Bulgaria? What is discourse in Bulgaria on refugees from Ukraine and female and LGBT fighters in Ukraine, in its gender aspect? The results of this research will be useful for elaborating on strategies for the development of civil society and democracy within the framework of cooperation of scientific communities.
