Abstract

Bentley's president and provost vigorously support the goal of integrating contemplative pedagogy into the college's business and liberal arts curricula, and consider it central to the development of Bentley as the nation's first business university. With the collaboration of the department chairs, the Alliance for Ethic & Social Responsibility coordinator, and directors of key institutional centers, I assist interested professors embed and integrate contemplative methods into their courses. Dr. Andre Delbecq, a mentor and co-author, is a resource to our program. Maintaining momentum from this program, Bentley is launching a conference on contemplative pedagogy and business school curriculum a year after the grant. In the third year, we plan on using space in a chapel/spiritual life center that is currently being considered for construction by the Board of Trustees.
