Position Description

Public Radio International (PRI) is a global nonprofit media company focused on the intersection of journalism and engagement to effect positive change in people’s lives. Founded in 1983, PRI produces audio, text, and visual content that is currently consumed by over 18 million people each month. The Associate Editor, Global Nation plays an important role in determining how Global Nation (PRI’s coverage of immigration in the US) manifests itself on PRI.org and on broadcast. The Associate Editor, in collaboration with the Global Nation team, reports and writes digital stories, identifies and pitches voices for two-way broadcast interviews, works with the team to enrich stories with perspectives from the humanities, and helps manage Global Nation social media accounts and newsletters, including helping to manage the Global Nation Exchange Facebook discussion group. In particular, this position focuses on bringing a humanistic perspective to Global Nation’s reporting on immigration.
