Stacy Hartman
Program Officer, Higher Education Initiatives
Stacy Hartman is the Program Officer for Higher Education Initiatives with ACLS. Previously,
she worked as a researcher, facilitator, writer, project manager, and consultant with expertise in
graduate student professional development. From 2018-2023, she served as the director of the
PublicsLab at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, and from 2015-2018, she was
the project manager of the Modern Language Association’s Connected Academics project. She
is the co-editor of Graduate Education for a Thriving Humanities Ecosystem (Modern Language
Association, 2023). She holds a PhD in German Studies from Stanford University and is based
in Eugene, Oregon.
