Abstract

What can be understood about imaginaries of the future from looking at degrowth in the forest at the Polish, Belarusian, and Lithuanian border? This project will document ecological relationships that trace the expulsion and relocation of humans via interviews with key nature-based NGOs, current inhabitants, and organizations and individuals that have attempted to help Middle Eastern and African refugees survive their crossing in a time of ongoing war in Ukraine and the Middle East. The research will take place in northeastern Poland and in southern Lithuania.
