Position Description

The Detroit Institute of the Arts aims to be the town square of the community, a gathering place for everyone to find personal meaning in art, supported by its diverse collection including Arts of Asia and the Islamic World. Along with researching the museum’s Buddhist art collection, the Buddhism Public Scholar will advance learning and audience engagement by presenting public lectures, translating inscriptions, writing and updating collection webpages, training gallery teachers and volunteers, and more.
