Joy Connolly with Laurie Patton at the 2025 ACLS Annual Meeting

ACLS Annual Meetings bring together delegates and administrative officers of our member societies, representatives of institutional associates and affiliates, and friends and supporters of ACLS from foundations, government agencies, and across the academic and public humanities. This much-anticipated event offers a substantive program of broad interest to the scholarly community that ACLS represents.

ACLS is not holding a traditional Annual Meeting in 2026. After extensive consultation with attendees from past meetings and members of our various constituencies, last year we concluded that the entire community will benefit from a new approach to our Annual Meeting that is fueled by fresh thinking about our purpose and a format that best meets current needs. We look forward to smaller gatherings with our communities throughout 2026 and meeting again in 2027.
