Other Stories To Tell is the final report of the Commission on Fostering and Sustaining Diverse Digital Scholarship, a group of 21 leading scholars, librarians, archivists, publishers, and University leaders convened by ACLS to analyze the current challenges in providing equitable access to the creation and sustainability of digital resources and projects related to social and racial justice.
This comprehensive study outlines a thoughtful and purposeful long-term agenda for work that constitutes a significant part of the humanities of the future – projects that will evolve humanistic scholarship to address the country’s diverse range of communities and student populations. As colleges and universities—their leaders, their scholars, their students—confront a period of extraordinary challenge and potential change, the values and recommendations laid out by the commission are a guide for long-term development and inspiration for new possibilities in the near term.
