Carlos Alberto Contreras
Dr. Carlos Alberto Contreras is Professor of History at Grossmont College in San Diego, California, where he teaches Latin American history, the history of Mexico, and race and ethnicity in the United States. He received his Ph.D. in History from UCLA and has published articles on the Mexican economy, U.S.-Latin America relations, and incorporating Latin America into the U.S. History and World History curricula. He served on the Council of the American Historical Association’s Teaching Division, and knows ACLS well, having served as the AHA’s Delegate to ACLS and for one year on the Executive Committee of Delegates.
