Today, ACLS member society, the American Historical Association (AHA), published a new report on secondary US history education, the most comprehensive study of its kind undertaken in the 21st century.
American Lesson Plan: Teaching US History in Secondary Schools summarizes research and critical findings from a survey of more than 3,000 middle and high school US history teachers, more than 200 interviews, and reviews of thousands of pages of instructional materials from school districts across the country.
