Hip Hop Hits HEB!

ACLS Humanities E-Book (HEB), the online collection curated by scholars, is pleased to announce that it will now offer scholarly titles in the emerging field of hip hop studies. Traditional fields, such as history, have always been prominent within the HEB collection; by including newer fields, HEB hopes to ensure that all disciplines relevant to contemporary scholarship are represented.

Also new to the HEB catalog will be two initial titles in the new field of animal studies. Books in both fields are slated for release to the HEB platform later this summer.

The HEB collection now includes approximately 4,300 books of high quality in the humanities. To guarantee the scope and quality of this interdisciplinary collection, HEB collaborates with ACLS member societies and university presses to assist scholars in electronic publication, to explore the intellectual possibilities of new media, and to help assure the continued viability of scholarship in today’s changing publishing environment.

HEB is accessible through institutional and individual subscription. It is available to individuals through their membership in any of the 73 ACLS member societies for a low annual fee.
