MMUF Annual Graduate Student Summer Conference

This year’s Summer Conference will take place from Monday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025 on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis, and will be jointly organized by staff at ACLS and the Social Science Research Council (SSRC). This annual event provides opportunities for fellows to learn important skills for navigating the early years of graduate school, as well as time for intellectual engagement and community-building with Mellon fellows across generations.
Applications are open through April 15, 2025

Submit your application to join us in St. Louis this June! Participation in the Summer Conference is open to MMUF fellows who fall into one of three categories. We encourage all who are eligible to apply to attend what promises to be a wonderful event.
- Graduating seniors who will enroll in a PhD program in a Mellon-approved field in Fall 2025;
- Fellows who took gap years and will enroll in a PhD program in a Mellon-approved field in Fall 2025; and
- Graduate students in years one through three of a PhD program in a Mellon-approved field.
Applications will be accepted through SSRC’s online portal between March 10 and April 15, 2025. The application form has been simplified for 2025, and should only take only a brief time to complete.
