Katie Smith joined ACLS in 2013 as a program assistant in the Office of Fellowships and Grants. In 2016, she moved to the Office of International Programs as a program associate. In this role, she provides support and coordination for all matters relating to the China Studies, Buddhist Studies, and African Humanities Programs. Smith received her BA in political science from Hofstra University in 2013, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society
