At its forty-second Triennial Council, the Phi Beta Kappa Society elected ACLS President Pauline Yu to its nominating committee. The committee, described as the organization's "core institution" by secretary and CEO John Churchill, nominates individuals for the Phi Beta Kappa Senate. President Yu remarked, “I thank Phi Beta Kappa for its confidence and look forward to participating in the crucial task of identifying individuals dedicated to the work of the Society and its advocacy of the liberal arts.”
President Yu will serve a six-year term. Phi Beta Kappa is an affiliate of ACLS.
