ACLS Fellow Gerhard Weinberg awarded Samuel Eliot Morison Prize
Gerhard L. Weinberg G'71, F'65 has been awarded the Samuel Eliot Morison Prize from the Society for Military History (SMH), the newest of ACLS's 70 member societies. The Samuel Eliot Morison Prize "recognizes not any one specific achievement, but a body of contributions in the field of military history, extending over time and reflecting a spectrum of scholarly activity contributing significantly to the field." Weinberg is professor emeritus at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
