New Book by Alexander C. Y. Huang F'10 Wins Award from Modern Language Association

12-20-10_HuangBookACLS congratulates Alexander C. Y. Huang F'10 on his receipt of the Modern Language Association's eighteenth annual Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for Comparative Literary Studies for Chinese Shakespeares: Two Centuries of Cultural Exchange, published by Columbia University Press. The prize is awarded annually for an outstanding scholarly work that is written by a member of the association and that involves at least two literatures.  It will be presented on January 7, 2011, during the MLA's annual convention in Los Angeles.  Read more.

Alexander C. Y. Huang is an associate professor of comparative literature at Pennsylvania State University and a research affiliate in the literature section of the MIT School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. He was awarded a 2010 American Research in the Humanities in China fellowship by ACLS to support his research on "A History of Modern Chinese Humor."
