Karen Watt Mathews is administrative assistant in the Office of Fellowships and Grants. She assists in administering ACLS fellowship programs, which involves extensive contact with prospective applicants, data processing, and support to selection committees. 

From 1985 to 1989, she was an assistant editor for R. R. Bowker Company, where she worked on multivolume works (including American Men and Women of Science and Who's Who in American Politics) and served as lead assistant editor for the North American Online Directory. Mathews received her BA from Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY, and her MPA from Baruch College, CUNY.
