Daniel L. Stoddard
American Museum of Natural History
Dan Stoddard is the vice president and chief investment officer for the American Museum of Natural History, and has been with the museum since 1998. Prior to joining the museum, Stoddard worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers (1983-1994) and then as an independent financial advisor to a number of leading cultural and educational institutions (1995-1997).
Stoddard received a BA in economics and American history from Cornell University in 1978, and a master’s degree in public and private management from the Yale School of Management in 1983.
He serves as a member of the Investment Committees of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the American Council of Learned Societies, and Horizons National, a summer learning program serving low-income students.
